The Mechanical Process Engineer will be part of a team performing engineering services for primarily the power industry focused on Waste Energy plant design.  In this role, you will be responsible for process and mechanical projects in support of Waste to Energy and other power projects for FUNKS ENGINEERING. In this role you will be responsible for system calculations, technical specifications, and system integration for energy facilities.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Mechanical, and or Process Engineer will be expected to function as a typical consulting engineer for small and large scale facilities design and implementation.

In addition you will:

Edit or provide input to Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Process Data Sheets in support of design projects

Perform Heat and Material Balances for existing designs

Develop sizing of key process plant equipment including vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, and other miscellaneous equipment

Work directly with Procurement in the review and acceptance of equipment

Provide technical field support in startup, troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers

Document and communicate results of technical data

Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives

Share information and promote open dialogue

Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage Engineering to the business

Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures


Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years post-degree experience in a related industry field
